Les Misérables: The Game of the Book

Les Misérables: The Game of the Book is an arty free adventure game based on the classic Victor Hugo novel. This is the first game of the series Enter the Story, where the author, Chris Tolworthy, adapts some literature classics to videogame form. The author’s goal is to create captivating adventure videogames that are faithful to the original works, while featuring occasionally minimalistic but always compelling and original visuals, along with an incredible ease of play.

In Les Misérables: The Game of the Book, a story of passion and sacrifice, there are over 250 characters and the player has to rescue Jean Valjean, a man imprisoned for stealing a piece of bread to feed his sister's famished children.

The following games (for sale) are based on the novels The Divine Comedy, Hesiod's Theogony, and A Tale of Two Cities. Future stories planned include The Count of Monte Cristo, Treasure Island, and Journey to the Center of the Earth, among many others.
